EXPRESS TECHNICIAN

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs express service and light repairs on customer vehicles

  • Conducts multi-point inspections of customer vehicles to identify needed express services and repairs

  • Follows all required safety and hazardous materials procedures as required by dealership policies and applicable laws and regulations

  • Uses and maintains dealership-provided tools and equipment in proper operating condition

  • Documents inspection findings and service requirements clearly and accurately and communicates them to the Express Service Representative

  • Communicates proactively to ensure a smooth, safe flow of work through the Express Service bays

  • Quality-checks own work and the work of other Technicians as requested

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Basic knowledge of automotive technology and related tools/equipment

  • Strong customer service focus

  • Exceptional organizational and multi-tasking ability

  • Valid driver’s license

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

Constantly position body and move in order to retrieve cars from parking lot, diagnose and repair vehicles; detect and identify vehicle issues and shop safety concerns; exert force to move/manipulate objects (up to 50lbs occasionally, 30lbs frequently, 10lbs constantly); operate tools and equipment; repetitive motion* Work is conducted inside, outside, and in a shop environment in proximity to moving vehicles, mechanical equipment, with exposure to chemicals, and moderate to loud noise levels.
